Alarm History
How do I open the Alarm History table?
In the
. Select the
System Banner
at the top of the screen, open the Navigation menu
by tapping Navigation

Alarm History
item in the Navigation menu
that appears at the bottom of the screen.The Alarm History lists alarm state change records from the alarm log. One alarm log record appears in a row.
Use the Alarm History on an HMI device to:
- Review the historical alarm records showing alarm state changes.
- Filter alarm state changes.
The Alarm History displays the history of alarm state changes available at the moment you open the screen. Close and reopen the screen or select Refresh
to load the latest alarm state changes.

View Designer
retains alarm state history after:- Rebooting or powering off the HMI device.
- Loading a new project.
- Disconnecting a controller from the HMI device.
- Replacing a controller.
- Having a controller recover from a fault.
- Downloading a new program from a controller connected to the HMI device.
- Clearing the alarm log on a controller connected to the HMI device.TIP:In the rare case the alarm history database is corrupted, the operator does not see any records in the Alarm History Viewer, although the alarm state changes are still happening. In such case, reboot the HMI device.
PanelView
terminals display up to 40,000 historical alarm state changes. This limit does not change with the number of controllers connected to the PanelView
terminal. After exceeding the limit, new records replace the oldest alarm records.Provide Feedback
