Selecting
Details
ViewRTAlarmSumDetailsbuttonV5 on an alarm table opens the
Details
pane in the lower half of:
  • Large Alarm Summary table
  • Large Alarm Manager table
  • Large Alarm History table
The
Details
pane replaces the list of alarms in medium alarm tables. The
Details
pane shows details for the selected alarm condition of a selected alarm. Condition details display the selected alarm condition in the Alarm Manager table. The contents of the
Details
pane appears in rows.
Row
Description
Priority
The urgency of the alarm condition:
  • Low viewrtalarmsumprioritylowiconV5
  • Medium viewrtalarmsumprioritymediconV5
  • High viewrtalarmsumhighiconV5
  • Urgent viewrtalarmsumurgiconV5
Severity
The numeric value mapped to the assigned priority of the alarm condition:
  • 1-250 (Low)
  • 251-500 (Medium)
  • 501-750 (High)
  • 751-1000 (Urgent)
Alarm State
The state of the alarm condition:
  • Normal Unacknowledged
  • In Alarm Acknowledged
  • In Alarm Unacknowledged
  • Normal Acknowledged
Inhibit State
The value applied to the alarm condition that inhibits the alarm at some level. These states, indicated by an icon in the alarm table, include:
  • Bad Quality ViewRTAlarmSumBadQualityIconV5New
  • Disabled viewrtalarmsumdisablebutton
  • Suppressed suppressV5
  • Shelved ViewRTAlarmSumShelveButtonV5
  • Faulted
These states can be combined. When an alarm has more than one inhibit state applied, the icon of the highest inhibit state shown above appears in the table.
Event Time
The date and time the alarm event occurred.
Condition
  • Analog conditions include: DEV_HI, DEV_LO, HIHI, HI, LO, LOLO, ROC_POS, and ROC_NEG
  • Discrete conditions include: TRIP and TRIP_L
Expression
The expression configured in Logix Designer for the selected condition. The expression appears only for tag-based alarms.
Alarm Name
The name of the alarm. This name includes the controller name of the alarm and the tag name. It can also include the name of the program if the tag is defined at the program level. Depending on how it was configured, the Alarm Name can appear as ::ControllerName.TagName or ::ControllerName\ProgramName.
For tag-based alarms, the alarm name can appear as ::ControllerName\ProgramName.TagName.@Alarms.AlarmName. If the tag is not located inside a program, this part is omitted and the Alarm Name appears as ::ControllerName.TagName.@Alarms.AlarmName.
Message
The message assigned to the alarm in the
Logix Designer
project.
In Alarm Time
The time the selected alarm entered the In Alarm state.
Acknowledge Time
The time the selected alarm was acknowledged.
Out of Alarm Time
The time the selected alarm entered the Normal or Out of Alarm state.
Enabled Time
The time the selected alarm was enabled.
Disable Time
The time the selected alarm was disabled.
Suppress Time
The time the selected alarm was suppressed.
Unsuppress Time
The time the selected alarm was unsuppressed.
Shelve Time
The time the selected alarm was shelved.
Unshelve Time
The time the selected alarm was unshelved. If the alarm is currently shelved, this is the time the alarm is unshelved automatically when the shelve duration expires.
Alarm Class
The user-defined class assigned to the alarm in the
Logix Designer
project.
Alarm Group
Displays the alarm group from Logix Designer to help classify and sort alarms. Displayed only for tag-based alarms.
Limit Value Exceeded
The condition limit assigned to the alarm in the
Logix Designer
project.
Tag 1 Value
The value of the associated tag parameter 1.
Tag 2 Value
The value of the associated tag parameter 2.
Tag 3 Value
The value of the associated tag parameter 3.
Tag 4 Value
The value of the associated tag parameter 4.
Alarm Count
The number of times the alarm condition has entered the In Alarm state.
Current Value
The current tag input value resulting in the alarm state.
Event Category
Digital events are categorized as Discrete. Analog events are categorized as Level.
Shelve duration
The default time for which the selected alarm condition is shelved to prevent the notification of new state changes. Shelve duration is assigned to the alarm in the
Logix Designer
project.
Max Shelve Duration
The maximum time the alarm can be shelved.
Quality Details
Displays information of a fault in case of faulted alarms.
State Change Type
This row applies to Alarm History only and displays the type of alarm state change for the currently selected alarm record:
  • In Alarm
  • Return to Normal
  • Acknowledged
  • Disabled
  • Enabled
  • Suppressed
  • Unsuppressed
  • Shelved
  • Unshelved
  • Configuration Changed
  • Fault
  • Alarm Counter Reset
