Rockwell Automation Compare
With the Rockwell Automation Compare function, you can compare any two files, folders, or binders. The items to be compared can be selected from within FactoryTalk AssetCentre or in the file system of your computer (using Windows Explorer, for example). To initiate a compare, right-click a file for comparison and select a compare option.
You can select compare items without running the FactoryTalk AssetCentre client, although it must be installed on the computer on which you are starting the comparison.
Perform Rockwell Automation Compares
Basically, to compare two items, right-click the first item (inside or outside of FactoryTalk AssetCentre) and select the
RA Compare
option. Then right-click the second item and do the same.You can perform a Rockwell Automation Compare on:
- Two items within FactoryTalk AssetCentre. You can compare any two similar items stored in Archive, even if they are associated with different devices. For example, you can compare .acd files for two different Allen-Bradley Logix 5000 Controller assets.
- Two items on your computer outside of FactoryTalk AssetCentre. FactoryTalk AssetCentre client must be installed on the computer, but it does not need to be running.
- An item within FactoryTalk AssetCentre and an item outside of FactoryTalk AssetCentre.
