Import compare engine configurations

Once the comparison software configurations (the location of the software, command line parameters, file types for which to use the comparison software) are exported to a file, it can be imported to another FactoryTalk AssetCentre server. All clients connected to the server use the same comparison software settings. (However, changes are only updated on all clients once a day. To update the configurations immediately on your client computer, open
Tools > Options

To import compare engine configurations
  1. Select
    Tools > Options
    .
  2. In the left column, click
    Compare Engines
    .
  3. In the right pane, click Import_button to import.
  4. Use the
    Open
    dialog box to navigate to and select the list (stored in a .CEC file) to import. Click
    Open
    .
