Device parameters for Rockwell Automation Compare

The lower right hand pane of the Rockwell Automation Compare Viewer contains settings for comparing the following devices. While comparisons can be conducted for Allen-Bradley PanelView Plus, Allen-Bradley MobileView devices, Asset Inventory, Allen-Bradley Stratix Switch, and FactoryTalk View Site Edition, no settings are available for them so these asset types are not included in this list.
Allen-Bradley MicroLogix Controller
These settings apply only to MicroLogix 1000 controllers. For MicroLogix 1100 and higher, a binary compare is conducted and no parameters are required. This compare tells you only whether or not there are differences, but gives no details.
  • Data Table Compare
    By default, all data table files are included in the compare. To select which data table files are compared (or turn off data table file comparison) click the field, and then click browse_button_small. Complete the

  • Program Compare
    By default, all program files are compared. To select which program files are compared (or turn off program file comparison) click the field, and then click browse_button_small. Complete the

Allen-Bradley PLC-5 Controller
  • Compare Force Table
    Select
    True
     to include the controller's force values during the compare operation. Select
    False
     to exclude force values.
  • Data Table Compare
    By default, all data table files are included in the compare. To select which data table files are compared (or turn off data table file comparison) click the field, and then click browse_button_small. Complete the

     dialog box.
    You must have RSLogix 5 programming software installed on the FactoryTalk AssetCentre client computer to configure this setting.
