OLE objects
OLE stands for Object Linking and Embedding. This feature lets you take the visual output from another application and incorporate it into a graphic display. Objects treated in this way are called OLE objects. Examples of such objects are charts, spreadsheets, and text created by applications that support OLE.
Linking and embedding objects differs from simple paste operations because the object
remembers
the application that created it. You can edit an OLE object within the graphic using in-place editing. When you finish editing, click the mouse anywhere in the graphic display outside the object to close the application. The changes you have made will be reflected in the object in the graphic display.
