Insert Object dialog box

Select this to create a new object in the graphics display using the object's editor.

This list is displayed when you click

Create New

. Click the down arrow to scroll the list to the type of object you intend to create.

Select this to insert an existing file onto the graphics display. You can make changes to the object using its editor. If the Link check box is cleared before you insert the object, any changes you make to it will not be reflected in the original version. As well, any changes in the original file will not be reflected in the object in your graphic display.

This field is displayed when you click

Create from File

. Type the path and name of the file you intend to insert, or click the browse button

to locate and select the file.

If you select the

Link

check box before you insert the file, any changes made to the object in the graphic display will be reflected in the original file.

Select this check box if the object is to be displayed at runtime as an icon.

This is displayed when you select the

Display as Icon

check box. Click it to browse for and select another icon.
