Move an asset

You can move an asset from one location in the asset tree to another.
Prerequisites
To move an asset you must have
Switch to Design mode
permission.
You must also have the following permissions for the container into which you want to move the asset:
  • Create Children
  • Read
  • Write
To move an asset
  1. If you are not in it, enter Design mode.
  2. Drag the asset from its current location to the desired container. You cannot move the asset into a container that has an asset of the same name. In that case, first rename the asset, then move it into the new container.
    Keyboard users: Select the asset, press
    Ctrl+X
    , select the container into which you wish to place it and press
    Ctrl+V
    .
The moved asset retains its security settings.
