Backup Data Browser dialog box
How do I open the Backup Data Browser dialog box?
You can open the
Backup Data Browser
dialog box while adding a Siemens controller,
Generic FTP device, Custom Device, Allen-Bradley PowerFlex Drive, Asset Inventory,
FactoryTalk Directory, Allen-Bradley Stratix Switch, Allen-Bradley E300 Overload Relay,
FactoryTalk View Site Edition, FactoryTalk Optix Runtime (Embedded), FactoryTalk Optix
Runtime (Software), Mitsubishi Controller (GX Works2), Mitsubishi Controller (GX Works3), or
Schneider Controller (Control Expert) to the asset tree or while editing the asset's
properties.While adding an asset to the asset tree:
- If you are not in Design mode, click
. - Drag an asset from the Asset Catalog to add it to the Asset View.
- Click anywhere within theBackup Datafield, and then click
.
While editing an asset's properties:
- If you are not in Design mode, click
. - Double-click an asset in the asset tree.
- Click anywhere within theBackup Datafield, and then click
.
Use the
Backup Data Browser
dialog box to specify the backup binder or file to use
for the Backup or Backup and Compare operations for a Siemens controller, Generic FTP
device, Custom Device, Allen-Bradley PowerFlex Drive, Asset Inventory, FactoryTalk
Directory, Allen-Bradley Stratix Switch, Allen-Bradley E300 Overload Relay, FactoryTalk View
Site Edition, FactoryTalk Optix Runtime (Embedded), FactoryTalk Optix Runtime (Software),
Mitsubishi Controller (GX Works2), Mitsubishi Controller (GX Works3), or Schneider
Controller (Control Expert).In most cases, when you use this dialog box, a backup binder or file does not yet exist. In such situations, the backup binder or file will be created automatically when necessary, and can be left blank if desired.
