Select a graphic object
When you create or open a graphic display, the selection tool (the arrow-shaped pointer) is selected automatically. Use this to point to and select objects in a display, or items on the menus in the Graphics editor.
TIP:
When the Select tool is active, the cursor is represented by an arrow. When you select another tool the symbol for it appears below the arrow.
To return to the Select tool after drawing most objects, click the left mouse button once. To return to the Select tool after drawing a polyline or polygon, click the right mouse button once.
To select more than one object, do any of the following:
- Select the first object, then pressCtrland click the other objects.
- Place the pointer above the objects and drag diagonally to create a selection border around the objects. When all the objects are inside the border, release the mouse button. The border is replaced by handles on all selected objects. You can add objects to this group by pressingCtrland clicking them
To deselect the selected objects:
- Click in the drawing area away from any objects.
