Edit a display

You can use the menu or toolbar options to edit an existing graphic display.
To edit a graphic display:
  1. In
    FactoryTalk View Studio
    , in the
    Graphics
    editor, in the
    Explore
    window, expand
    Graphics
    >
    Displays
    .
  2. Double-click the display you want to edit. You can also right-click it and select
    Open
    .
  3. Use the tools and menu options available in the
    Graphics
    editor to modify the graphic display.
  4. Save the graphic display. If you are editing a graphic template as the basis for a new graphic display, click
    Save As
    to give the graphic display a new name. All graphic displays are given the extension .gfx when you save them.
    TIP:
    To see the menu options available for any object in the graphic display, click the right mouse button when the cursor arrow is pointing at the object. This displays a context menu. To select a command from the menu, click it or highlight it then press Enter.
    To edit an embedded object that was not created by the Graphics editor you can use in-place editing to do so without leaving the Graphics editor.
