Add the configuration file in the asset tree
You can place the file, folder or binder in the asset tree first, before assigning it to the
Configuration Data
field. To add the configuration file (file, folder, or binder), if it is in Archive (in the asset tree)
- In the left pane, navigate to and select the device or container with the file, folder, or binder you want to add to this device.
- (optional) In the filter field, select the type of files you wish to show. This is unavailable for a remote computer, robot device, or Siemens controller.
- In the right pane, select the file, folder, or binder you want to add to the device. For devices that can have only one file associated with them, such as an Allen-Bradley PLC-5 controller with a .rsp file, select a file. For devices that can have multiple files such as a robot, select a binder or folder. If using a folder, the entire folder will be associated with the device even though the folder will remain in its current location in the tree, so be sure to organize a folder containing only files for that device ahead of time.
- For Siemens S7 Controllers (STEP7) and Allen-Bradley PowerFlex Drive assets onlySelect the S7 program or the Allen-Bradley PowerFlex Drive device to use for disaster recovery operations. More than one S7 program or Allen-Bradley PowerFlex Drive device may be included in the binder. Only one S7 project or Allen-Bradley PowerFlex Drive project, however, can be included in the binder. You cannot select a S7 program or Allen-Bradley PowerFlex Drive device if more than one S7 project or Allen-Bradley PowerFlex Drive project is in the binder.
- If theProgram Refreshbutton is available, click it. This updates the binder with any changes.
- In theProgramlist for S7 controllers or theDevicelist for Allen-Bradley PowerFlex Drive assets, select the one that you want to use.
