Import an RSSecurity database

Both RSSecurity Network and Local Edition databases can be imported into either a
FactoryTalk
Network Directory or a
FactoryTalk
Local Directory. Use the
FactoryTalk® Security
Import tool to import an RSSecurity Server database into a
FactoryTalk Directory
. Import the RSSecurity Server database into either a
FactoryTalk
Local Directory or a Network Directory or allow the
FactoryTalk Security
Import tool to determine which directory to import into automatically.
FactoryTalk
Network Directory and Local Directory are completely separate, even when configured on the same computer. If you are using both directories, set up security in each directory separately. Project information and security settings remain cannot be shared between directories.
