How do I open RSSecurity Migration Utility?

To open the RSSecurity Migration Utility:

Select Start > All Programs > Rockwell Software > FactoryTalk Tools > Import RSSecurity Configuration
.

Complete the Import an RSSecurity database
dialog box, then click Next
.

Use RSSecurity Migration Utility
to choose whether to preserve existing RSSecurity groups and import them as

FactoryTalk

groups, or import the items from RSSecurity groups as individual actions or resources. For more information about the imported groups, refer to Locations and permissions of imported resource and action groups.

Import RSSecurity action groups and resource groups as

FactoryTalk

action groups and resource groups

Choose this option only if all computers in the

FactoryTalk

system have been upgraded to

FactoryTalk Services Platform

2.10 or later. This option preserves RSSecurity groups and imports them as

FactoryTalk

groups. The import process:

imports resource groups by associating individual resources with selected applications or areas

places action groups, with associated individual actions, into the Action Groups
folder in the

FactoryTalk Directory

Import RSSecurity action groups and resource groups as individual actions or resources

This option breaks RSSecurity groups apart and imports actions and resources into the

FactoryTalk Directory

as individual, ungrouped items. The import process places these individual resources (with associated actions) under the Networks and Devices
folder in the

FactoryTalk Directory
