Getting Started with Extractors

The DataMosaix online documentation provides clear instructions on how to configure extractors. In brief, you download extractors from the main DataMosaix UI.

These are typically Windows applications or services. Some may be available for Linux or in containers, but the ones that most Rockwell customers start with are Windows based. You install the extractor on a Windows computer that has access to the data you wish to extract. You will most likely need to install the extractor as an Admin user for it to work.

After you’ve installed the extractor, you’ll need a configuration file with the authorization/authentication information. To get this information, go to the DataMosaix Management Console and register an extractor. It will generate configuration file with the authorization information necessary to connect. It is intended to have all the basic information necessary to connect, such as host URL, Client ID, and Client Secret.
