Options dialog box: Database Maintenance

How do I open the Options: Database Maintenance dialog box?
  1. Select
    Tools > Options
    .
  2. Under
    Category
     on the left side of the dialog box, select
    Database Maintenance
    .
The inserting, updating, or deleting operation in the FactoryTalk AssetCentre database causes the database indexes to be fragmented. Use the
Options: Database Maintenance
 dialog box to analyze index fragmentation and rebuild fragmented indexes. In this dialog box, you can:
  • Configure automatic database maintenance.
  • Choose email recipients to receive the automatic database maintenance status.
  • Perform a manual analysis of index fragmentation.
  • Perform a manual rebuild of fragmented indexes.
By default, the
Perform automatic database maintenance
 check box is cleared, and all the settings in the dialog box are not available. To configure automatic database maintenance or to start manual database maintenance, you must have the
Configure Database Maintenance
permission.
