Add Schneider Controller (Control Expert) dialog box

  1. To enter Design mode if you are not already in it, click design_mode_button.
  2. In the Asset Catalog, expand the
    Controller Items
     node.
  3. Drag a Schneider Controller (Control Expert) asset onto the tree in the Asset View.
Use the
Add Schneider Controller (Control Expert)
dialog box to add a Schneider Controller to the asset tree. You can add a Schneider Controller (Control Expert) in the root or in a container.
The device is added to the asset tree as soon as this dialog box opens. Clicking
Cancel
 in this dialog box abandons any changes made to the device properties, but leaves the device in the tree.
IMPORTANT:
  • Make sure that the FactoryTalk AssetCentre Agent Controller is running as an application. For more information, see FactoryTalk AssetCentre Agent Controller Launch Control Panel.
  • For Schneider Control Expert using Unity DIF 8.0 to compare projects, FIPS must be disabled for communication to work properly.
