Export a FactoryTalk View Site Edition backup

Once a backup is created for FactoryTalk View Site Edition, you can export the HMI server information from FactoryTalk AssetCentre Archive.
To export a FactoryTalk View Site Edition backup
  1. Select
    View > Archive
    or click the
    Archive
    button.
  2. In the asset tree, select a backup file created under FactoryTalk View Site Edition.
  3. In the lower session of the
    Archive
    tab, click the
    History
    tab.
  4. Right-click a version in the history list and then select
    Show in Application Export Window
    .
  5. In the
    Get
    dialog box, select the check boxes as needed and then click
    OK
    .
    TIP:
    Click
    Help
    in the
    Get
    dialog box for detailed instructions.
  6. (Optional) If the backup is configured to be encrypted in the asset's properties dialog box, you are prompted to enter the encryption. Enter the encryption and then click
    Submit
    .
  7. In the
    Export FactoryTalk View Site Edition_Backup.apb
    dialog box, select one or multiple areas you want to export.
  8. To view and select detailed files included in an HMI server for export, click the browse button in the
    Server Name
    column.
  9. In the
    Name Project
    dialog box, where
    Name
    is an HMI server name, select files of an HMI server that you want to export and then click
    OK
    .

    Click
    Help
    in the
    Name Project
    dialog box for detailed instructions.
  10. To export the FactoryTalk Directory data in a BAK file, select the
    Export FactoryTalk Directory backup file
    check box.
  11. In the
    Target Folder
    section, click the browse button to specify a folder to save the exported files.
  12. Click
    Export
    .
  13. When a window shows indicating that the operation completes, click
    OK
    .
