Add an agent computer

Use agents to perform scheduled operations. The agents can be installed on the computer running the FactoryTalk AssetCentre server, on computers running the FactoryTalk AssetCentre client, or on any other computer that meets the requirements and is connected to the FactoryTalk AssetCentre server.
To add an agent computer to the FactoryTalk AssetCentre system, simply install the FactoryTalk AssetCentre agent software on it. When you install the agent software, it is registered with the FactoryTalk AssetCentre server and can immediately run scheduled tasks. No further configuration is necessary.
To add an agent computer
  1. Use the FactoryTalk AssetCentre disc to run the installation program. If it does not start automatically, run
    Setup.exe
     from the disc.
  2. On the setup menu click
    Install FactoryTalk AssetCentre Agents
    .
  3. Follow the on screen instructions to complete the installation. For detailed instructions select

During the installation, FactoryTalk Services Platform will be installed and the computer will be added to the FactoryTalk Network Directory. If for some reason the agent computer is not in the FactoryTalk Network Directory, use the FactoryTalk Administration Console to add it. See the
