Getting-start project

FactoryTalk Design Workbench
adheres to the IEC-61131 standards for programming.
If you do not have previous experience with IEC-style concepts and programming, we recommend that you perform the tasks to build a traffic light program and the controller program. The topics, which step you through creating a basic sample application, are intended to introduce you to IEC-style programming within the
FactoryTalk Design Workbench
environment.
The Traffic Light project is a four-way intersection control program that monitors traffic flow with car sensors. The control program uses six outputs and four inputs that are based on car sensors placed in each of the four directions at an intersection. During peak hours, traffic is cycled using green, yellow, and red traffic lights in the North-South and East-West directions. During off-peak hours, the traffic lights change to blink yellow in the North-South direction and blink red in the East-West direction.
