     menu, select

  2. Select
    Global Settings
    , under
    Data Source
    , select
    FactoryTalk Linx Gateway Standalone Data Service
    .
Standalone Data Service
 supports data acquisition from Logix 5000 controllers version 18 and later using the
FactoryTalk Linx Gateway
. The
Device shortcut configuration
 pane and the FactoryTalk Linx Network Browser within FactoryTalk Linx Gateway allow you to use the
FactoryTalk Linx Gateway Standalone Data Service
 without creating FactoryTalk applications and FactoryTalk Linx servers. Distributed applications and redundant FactoryTalk Linx servers are not supported.
The following table shows the supported namespace modes of each server using the standalone data service.
