Set up and use the EtherNet/IP Address Commissioning Tool

The
EtherNet/IP Address Commissioning Tool
provides you with an interface to manage how BOOTP/DHCP device request for address assignments are fulfilled. This tool is useful in cases where an installation-wide BOOTP/DHCP server is not being used, or where alternative means of assigning IP addresses are less convenient or not available (for example, with devices which only have Ethernet communications ports, no USB interface and no physical switches).
To set up and use the EtherNet/IP Address Commissioning Tool
  1. From the Windows
    Start
    menu, select
    EtherNet/IP Address Commissioning Tool
    .
    TIP:
    Only one instance of
    EIPCommissionTool.exe
is allowed to run. Multiple windows are not supported. If you start the tool again when it is already running, no new window will be opened.
  2. In the
    Select Network Interface Card
dialog box, select the one you would like to use as the communication Network Interface Card.
  3. Use the
    EtherNet/IP Address Commissioning Tool
to capture MAC addresses, assign IP addresses and other parameters for certain devices.
