Block a MAC address

The MAC address blocking function restricts the
EtherNet/IP Address Commissioning Tool
from processing BOOTP/DHCP requests from unwanted devices by identifying their unique MAC addresses. When the MAC address blocking function is enabled and a BOOTP/DHCP request is received from a device with a MAC address that is on the
Blocked MAC
list, the request will be ignored, and the device will not be provided an IP Address.
Prerequisites
  • Select a Network Interface Card (NIC).
  • On the
    Settings
tab, complete the Network information and enable the MAC address blocking function.
