Configure DeviceNet I/O

Use this procedure to configure I/O on the DeviceNet Scanner. This is an overview of the required steps.
Prerequisites
  • Before you configure, or define, the I/O in the DeviceNet Scanner using
    FactoryTalk Linx
    , use the
    Rockwell Software
     Scanlist Configuration Tool
     to insert connections and apply the scanlist to the network.
To configure I/O on the DeviceNet Scanner
  1. Add a
    DeviceNet Scanner
  2. Add an address block
  3. Add a device to the address block
  4. Add an alias
After the I/O is configured, configure a device shortcut that references the DeviceNet I/O scanner. When you browse for tags exposed by this
FactoryTalk Linx
 server, the aliases you configured will display.
