Add a permission set

Permission sets identify a set of actions that are allowed or denied for one or more user groups or computer groups. Create a permission set to apply the same set of permissions to multiple controllers or project components in Studio 5000 Logix Designer version 28.00 or later.

    System
    folder until

  2. Right-click on
    Permission Sets
    , and select

  3. In
    New Permission Set
, enter a descriptive name in the
    Name
    field.
  4. (optional) In
    Description
, type a description of the permission set, such as a list of the controllers or project components that belong to the permission set.
  5. Select
    OK
    .

    Security
    .
  7. In
    Security Settings
, configure permissions for a user-computer pair. A pair may include groups as well as individual users and computers.
  8. Select
    OK
    .
    When the
    Logix Designer
application opens, the new permission set appears in the
    Permission Sets
menu. Apply the permission set to projects and project components.
