software is a set of shared architecture and services that form the foundation of a FactoryTalk
system. FactoryTalk Services Platform

FactoryTalk® Directory | Detects and organizes plant-floor resources, such as users, roles, applications, data tags, and graphic displays. Local Directories manage resources on a single computer while Network Directories manage resources across a distributed network. |
FactoryTalk® Security | Controls access to and usage of FactoryTalk Directory resources by users, groups, roles, and computers. Centralizes user authentication and access control for easy regulation compliance. |
FactoryTalk® Live Data | Manages connections between OPC® -DA and Live Data servers to FactoryTalk software, Integrated Architecture® controllers, and third-party controllers. |
FactoryTalk® Audit | Records changes to FactoryTalk Directory resources made by users during the design, management, or operation. Logs to multiple output formats for change management and regulatory compliance. |
FactoryTalk® Diagnostics | Records activity, status, warning, and error messages generated during the design, management, and operation of a FactoryTalk system. |
FactoryTalk® Alarms and Events | Monitors devices, services for alarm conditions, and publishes centralized event information for display and logging. |
FactoryTalk® Activation | Activates, authenticates, and serves FactoryTalk software licenses for users across a FactoryTalk system. Configured using FactoryTalk® Activation Manager . |
FactoryTalk® Administration Console | Configure, manage, and secure a FactoryTalk Directory , its resources, and services. |
