User interface

Use the
FactoryTalk Design Workbench
user interface (UI) to create projects, specify which panes to view, and reset to the default layout if necessary.

    page that displays the descriptions, locations, and time stamps of errors, warnings, and messages.

    page that displays the log descriptions and time stamps.

Contains the logic elements and instructions that can be added to the opened language editor.

Displays the properties of a selected item.
You can edit the properties in the
Properties
pane.

Connection pane
For each added device, the
Connection
pane contains:
  • The device name and catalog number.
  • The connection path to connect to the device if any.
  • The toggle to connect to or disconnect from the device.
  • The
    Controller mode
    list to view and change the controller connection mode.
  • The
    Fault
    button to open the
    Micro800
    controller's fault diagnostics page.
  • The
    Secure
    button to open the pages to set, clear, or change the controller password.

Contains the options to configure devices and build programs. The content varies with the page you open.
