Work with controller references

A controller reference is a connection to a

Logix Designer

project file (.acd) from a

View Designer

project file (.vpd). The connection automatically synchronizes data between a

Logix Designer

project file (.acd) and

View Designer

project file (.vpd).

Add up to four controller references, and a recommended maximum of 50,000 tags in a Logix controller to a project. Use a maximum of one controller for each

PanelView

5310 project or a maximum of four controllers for a

PanelView

5510 project.

Use the

References

tab on the

Project Properties

dialog box to add or change a controller reference.
