Items in Options dialog box: Scheduled Operations

The tabs and settings listed below appear when you navigate the tree of available assets to select an object that has no children below it.
  • Scheduled Operation
    tab
    • Device Monitor
      To show Device Monitor operations, navigate to
      Device Monitor
      in the tree, expand
      Change Detect
      , and select
      Allen-Bradley Logix 5000 Controller
      .
      - Copy Controller Log to Audit Log
      . When set to
      True
      , each change reported by the controller is copied to an Audit Log entry while the schedule is running. When set to
      False
      , no audit log entries are created.
      - Event Completed
      . The email addresses to which notification will be sent when the operation completes for the asset. Separate multiple email addresses with semicolons (;).
      - Event Failed
      . The email addresses to which notification will be sent when the operation fails. Separate multiple email addresses with semicolons (;).
    • Disaster Recovery operations
      To show Disaster Recovery operations, navigate to
      Backup
      ,
      Backup and Compare
      ,
      Change Detect
      , or
      Source Code Validation
      in the tree and select a device. The operations available apply to new but not existing schedules, and vary depending on the type of asset selected.
    • Scheduled Search operations
      To show Scheduled Search operations, navigate to
      Scheduled Search
      in the tree and select
      Search
      . The operations available apply to new but not existing searches.
      - Always Send Email Notification.
      Configure if the email notification should always be sent when there are no search results.
      - Email Distribution List.
      The default recipient list to whom the result of searches (whether the search completed or failed) will be sent. To select addresses from the FactoryTalk AssetCentre Address Book, click the field, and then click browse_button_small. Complete the
      Contacts and Groups
      dialog box.
      - Output Format.
      The output format for the search results is PDF or CSV format.
      - Time Zone.
      The local time of the computer running scheduled searches. To select another time zone, click the drop-down arrow and select the time zone from the list. This setting changes the time zone for all scheduled searches run by this computer.
  • Standard tab
    The
    Standard
    tab has two operations that apply to existing and new Disaster Recovery and Search schedules:
    • Retry Count.
      If the operation cannot be completed, the software will try again before failing completely. The Retry Count specifies the number of times the software will try to complete its task before it sends out a failure notification.
    • Retry Interval.
      If the operation cannot be completed, the software will wait the number of minutes specified here before it tries again.
