Items in Options dialog box: File Associations

This tab lists the extensions of the files to be opened by the indicated software products when a user logs on to FactoryTalk AssetCentre using the logon ID of the user who created the associations. An optional description can be entered for each association. A personal file association will override any system association listed for the same file type.

This tab lists the extensions of the files to be opened by the indicated software products. Each system association is in effect for the indicated file extension if there is no personal file association to override it.

When using the automatic check-in feature, the software must repeatedly check the file to determine when it is done being edited and should be checked in. Use the setting on this tab to change how often the software checks the file. The software may actually monitor the

process

(the running program) rather than the file.
