About logging on or off of FactoryTalk AssetCentre

FactoryTalk AssetCentre uses the FactoryTalk single sign-on feature. Single sign-on logs on as the Windows-linked user currently logged on to the computer. If single sign-on is disabled, the user will be prompted to log on to FactoryTalk when starting FactoryTalk AssetCentre.
You can log on as another user by logging off and logging on within FactoryTalk AssetCentre.
  • To log off, select
    File > Log Off
    . Anything you had open in FactoryTalk AssetCentre is closed. Even the Asset View is empty when no user is logged in.
  • To log on, select
    File > Log On
    . The asset tree reappears in the Asset View. (If the user does not have
    Read
    permission for any assets, then only the AssetCentre icon at the top of the tree appears.
