Block Options dialog box

How do I open the Block Options dialog box?
You can use the
Block Options
 dialog box while setting default schedule properties or while editing the properties for a particular schedule.
While setting default operation properties:
  1. Select
    Tools
     >
    Options
    .
  2. Under
    Category
     on the left side of the dialog box, select
    Scheduled Operations
    .
  3. In the
    Scheduled Operations
     tree, expand
    Disaster Recovery
     and
    Backup
     or
    Backup and Compare
    .
  4. Select a Siemens S5 Controller, Siemens S7 Controller (STEP7), or Siemens S7 Controller (TIA Portal) device.
  5. Click in the
    Block Options
     field on the right and then click browse_button_small.
For a particular schedule:
  1. Click the
    Schedules
     button to open the
    Schedules
    tab.
  2. Select the Backup or Backup and Compare schedule you want to edit.
  3. In the bottom left, select the Siemens S5 Controller, Siemens S7 Controller (STEP7), or Siemens S7 Controller (TIA Portal) device for which you want to change the excluded blocks.
  4. In the bottom right, click in the
    Block Options
     field and then click browse_button_small.
Use the
Block Options
 dialog box to specify blocks of the Siemens S5 Controller, S7 Controller (STEP7), or S7 Controller (TIA Portal) program that you do not want included in a backup or a backup and compare operation.
Use the
Block Options
 list to specify what you want the exclusions to apply to.
  • Full Backup and Compare
    : exclusions made here will not apply to the backup and will not apply to the compare. This allows you to keep the list of exclusions but to perform a full backup and compare if needed.
  • Full backup, Compare will exclude the following blocks
    : exclusions will not apply to the backup but will apply to the compare
  • Backup and Compare both exclude the following blocks
    : exclusions will apply to both the backup and the compare.
For each type of block, type the block numbers to exclude from the backup or backup and compare operation. Separate multiple blocks with a semicolon (;). Indicate a range with a dash (-).
For example: 1;5-7;12 excludes block numbers 1, 5, 6, 7, and 12.
