How do I open FactoryTalk AssetCentre Security Configuration Export Tool?
Open FactoryTalk AssetCentre Security Configuration Export Tool with one of the following methods:
  • Select
    Start > FactoryTalk AssetCentre Security Configuration Export Tool
    .
  • Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Rockwell Software\AssetCentre Server\Bin, and then open
    RockwellAutomation.FTAssetCentre.SecurityConfigurationExportTool.exe
    .
    TIP:
    • The
      RockwellAutomation.FTAssetCentre.SecurityConfigurationExportTool.exe
       is installed in C:\Program Files (x86)\Rockwell Software\AssetCentre Server\Bin by default.
    • You can move this tool to the folder convenient to use. If so, the above methods are not available and you can open it directly.
FactoryTalk AssetCentre Security Configuration Export Tool can export the security configuration of assets in the asset tree as an XML file. The file is exported to %UserProfile%\Documents. We recommend that you use this tool as an administrator of
FactoryTalk AssetCentre
 system.
TIP:
  • If you have no privilege to use this tool, please contact the administrator to grant you the
    Write
    permission for the computer and the
    Read
    permission for the
    FactoryTalk AssetCentre
     database.
  • We recommend that you open the XML file with Notepad.
