Export assets' security settings

Use FactoryTalk AssetCentre Security Configuration Export Tool to export the detailed security configuration information of assets in the asset tree.
Prerequisites
  • Ensure that you are the administrator of the
    FactoryTalk AssetCentre
     system or you have the
    Write
    permission for the computer and the
    Read
    permission for the
    FactoryTalk AssetCentre
     database.
To export assets' security settings
  1. Open FactoryTalk AssetCentre Security Configuration Export Tool.
  2. In the Command Prompt window, enter the SQL Server name that
    FactoryTalk AssetCentre
     Server connects to.
    TIP:
    • If SQL Server and FactoryTalk AssetCentre server are co-located, and the default instance is selected during the Microsoft SQL Server installation, press
      Enter
      directly. Otherwise, please enter the SQL Server name. For example,
      WIN-2B92QFPB9C0\SQLSERVERTEST
      .
  3. Press
    Enter
    .
    You can find
    assetwithroleacelist.xml
     in %UserProfile%\Documents.
