FactoryTalk AssetCentre system can generate the large size of logs after a long time of running, also the inserting, updating, or deleting operations in the FactoryTalk AssetCentre database causes the database indexes to become fragmented and the database size to expand.
Use
Database Maintenance
 to:
  • Configure automatic database index maintenance.
  • Configure automatic database space maintenance.
  • Choose email recipients to receive the automatic database maintenance status.
  • Perform a manual analysis of index fragmentation.
  • Perform a manual rebuild of fragmented indexes.
  • Perform a shrink task for the database.
  • Create a log cleanup schedule.
  • Create an archive cleanup schedule.
By default, the
Schedule automatic database index maintenance
 checkbox is cleared, and all the settings in the tab are not available. To select the
Schedule automatic database index maintenance
 checkbox to configure database index maintenance, you must have the
Configure Database Maintenance
 permission.
