Manually analyze the indexes to understand the fragmentation status in real-time and to decide whether an index rebuild is needed.
Prerequisites
  • Make sure you have the
    Configure Database Maintenance
     permission.
To perform a manual analysis of index fragmentation
  1. On
    Tools
    , select
    Database Management
    .
  2. On
    Database Management
    , select
    Database Maintenance
    .
  3. In the
    Manual database index maintenance
     section, select
    Analyze index
    .
  4. A message below the button shows, indicating whether an index rebuild is needed.
