Perform a manual rebuild of fragmented indexes

Manually rebuild the indexes to reduce database fragmentation in real time. The index rebuild process may take several minutes to complete and may impact the system performance. Rebuild indexes during server null time when no scheduled tasks or user interaction is taking place if possible.
Prerequisites
  • Make sure you have the
    Configure Database Maintenance
     permission.
To perform a manual analysis of index fragmentation
  1. On
    Tools
    , select
    Database Management
    .
  2. On
    Database Management
    , select
    Database Maintenance
    .
  3. In the
    Manual database index maintenance
     section, select
    Rebuild index
    .
  4. A message below the button shows, indicating the status of the rebuild process.
