Logs
FactoryTalk AssetCentre Web Client's logs include:
- Event logs show database information regarding events that occur in the system. Events are generally system initiates, for example, an upload occurs, or a scheduled task completes. Event records are generated by FactoryTalk-enabled software.
- Audit logs show database information regarding actions that users perform in the system, such as editing a Logix Designer project or opening or closing a software product. Audit records are generated by FactoryTalk-enabled software.
- Diagnostics and health logs provide information about the condition of automation devices. For example, a monitoring software product, such as RSNetWorxMD, detects a problem with a device on the automation network. It reports the problem and logs the information in theDiagnostics & Health Log.FactoryTalk AssetCentre Web Client uses the same FactoryTalk Directory server withFactoryTalk® Alarms and Events. When installing AssetCentre Diagnostics Connector, FactoryTalk AssetCentre will log Automatic Device Descriptive Analytics (ADDA) events from FactoryTalk Alarms and Events and displays them as diagnostics and health logs. FactoryTalk View Studio Enterprise version 12.00.00 or later and Studio 5000 Logix Designer version 33.00.00 or later are required to be installed for this function. The ADDA logs are not editable.Initially, only previously existing data appears in theDiagnostics & Health Logif that data was imported from the RSMACC Network Health Solution. This data is not updated by FactoryTalk AssetCentre. New data is logged in theDiagnostics & Health Logonly if RSNetWorx MD is installed on your system or ADDA functionality is available.
