Column headings on the Event tab

The following table shows the column headings on the
Event
tab and their meanings.
Column Headings
Description
Paper clip icon
Indicates that a file is available. A file attached to the Event Log includes additional information about the event record. You can download the file attachments and find troubleshooting information.
Logged Time
Shows the date and time that the FactoryTalk AssetCentre database receives a report of the event from the FactoryTalk-enabled software.
The Logged Time and Occurred Time might be different if you disconnect from the network while FactoryTalk AssetCentre caches data, or if the time on the server is different from the time on your computer.
Occurred Time
Shows the date and time that the software records the message.
The Logged Time and Occurred Time might be different if you disconnect from the network while FactoryTalk AssetCentre caches data, or if the time on the server is different from the time on your computer.
Source
Shows the name of the software that logs the event.
Location
Shows the name of the computer on which the event takes place.
Severity
The severity of the event:
  • Warning:
    An event published by the system components when something unexpected occurs and needs attention but is not critical or fatal.
  • Error:
    An event published by the system components when an error occurs during system operation, needs attention, and could be critical or fatal.
  • Information:
    An event published by the system components to provide a message about the system or tasks.
Message
Shows the detailed information about the event such as the type of event, status, the hardware involved, and so forth. A summary of the message appears in the list. The full message appears in the
Log Item Details
pane.
