Clear the local log

Use
Local Log Destination Setup
 to delete all events from the local log. If the log overwrite option
Do not overwrite events
is selected, clearing the log manually is required to continue logging new events to the local log.
To clear the local log
  1. In
    Local Log Destination Setup
    , select
    Clear Log
    .
  2. A prompt is displayed, providing the opportunity to save the local log file contents.
    • If required to keep a record of existing events, select
      Yes
      . The
      Save As
       dialog box opens.
      In
      File name
       type a name for the file, the select
      Save
      . The file is saved and the local log file is cleared.
    • If the contents of the log file do not need to be retained, select
      No
      . The local log file is cleared.
  3. If finished making changes in
    Diagnostics Configuration
    , select
    OK
     to close the window.
