Reset a locked account
FactoryTalk
user accounts are automatically locked for a period of time after a certain number of failed logon attempts. After the lockout period, the account unlocks automatically. Change this behavior in the security policy settings. Reset a locked account manually to avoid waiting until the lockout period expires.
To reset a locked

Obtain these permissions in the
Users
folder in FactoryTalk Administration Console
Explorer
:- Common > List Children
- Common > Read
- Common > Write
To reset a locked user account
- InFactoryTalk Administration ConsoleExplorer, expand theFactoryTalknetwork or local directory tree, expandSystem>Users, right-click the user account, and selectProperties.
- InGeneralUser Properties, clear theAccount is lockedcheck box, and selectOK.
If an account with the same credentials is locked in both the network directory and the local directory, reset the account in both directories.
