New Computer Group

How do I open New Computer Group?
  1. In the
    Explorer
     window, expand the
    FactoryTalk
     network directory tree, and then expand the
    System
     folder and
    Computers and Groups
     folder.
  2. Right-click the
    Computer Groups
     folder, and then click
    New Computer Group
    .
Use
New Computer Group
 to add a computer group account to the
FactoryTalk
 network directory.
The
New Computer Group
 command opens the computer group properties sheet where the computer group name and group membership are configured. Complete the
Name
 setting in the
General
 tab to add the computer account to the
FactoryTalk Directory
.
Setting
Description
Name
(required) The name of the computer group account, up to 100 characters long.
Description
(optional) The description of the group account. (Example: Administration workstations for network operations, for maintenance contact
maintenance@yourcompany.com
).
Members
This list contains the computer accounts that are members of this computer group. This list can contain computer accounts that do not yet exist on the
Windows
 network. When those computers are added to the network, they automatically inherit the group's security settings.
Add
Remove
Removes the computer account selected in
Members
 from this computer group account.
