Library Content
After creating repositories and library objects, add and configure content for library objects. Library content refers to the properties and parameters defined for a library object.
Read-only library content:
- Revision History: The information entered when the current version of the library object was created.
- Definition Data: The decoration added in theLibrary Designer.
- Logix: The actual Logix code for the library object, displayed as XML.
In
Library Object Manager
use the Library Content
column to add these features to a selected library object:- : A Human Machine Interface (HMI) element, used for displays.FactoryTalk ViewSE/ME
- : AFactoryTalk Alarms and EventsFactoryTalk Alarms and Eventselement, used for digital alarms.
- : AFactoryTalk View MEAlarmsFactoryTalk View MEalarm element, used for digital alarms.
- : AFactoryTalk Historian SEFactoryTalk Historianelement, used for tags.
These features can only be added after a library object is copied to a folder or the ACM Database. They are included in the individual HSL4 library object file, but are not added to the original ACD file.
TIP:
After modifying a library object using
Library Object Manager
, an asterisk (*)
appears next to the object name until their repository is removed. When the repository is
removed from the Library Object Manager
application, updates are saved to the HLS4
file.When working with library objects, different tools are provided to help with the object configuration. These tools are opened by clicking the ellipsis (...) button next to a configurable item. The following tools are part of
