Analyze data in FactoryTalk ViewPoint trends

A FactoryTalk ViewPoint trend displays real-time pen values from a data server defined in a
FactoryTalk View
 trend object. A
FactoryTalk ViewPoint
 trend will not display any pen values if the corresponding HMI servers, data servers, or
FactoryTalk View ME
 applications are unavailable or not running.
Most features of a
FactoryTalk ViewPoint
 trend cannot be modified in a web browser at runtime. To change pen definitions or properties, open
FactoryTalk View Studio
, modify the original object, and then publish the changes to the web application.
FactoryTalk ViewPoint
 trends do not support:
  • Historical data from
    FactoryTalk View ME
     data log models
  • Trend overlays
  • Trend templates
