Send recipe values to a network device at runtime

By using a recipe, the operator downloads a number of values rather than individual values, from a disk file to the string and numeric input objects and then sends these values to the network devices.
To send recipe values to a network device at runtime:
  1. On the display, click the recipe object to set input focus to the recipe object. You can also press
    Ctrl
    +
    R
    anywhere on the display.
    TIP:
When you have a recipe object on a display with the on-screen keyboard turned on, if you set the focus on the recipe object and then click it, the keyboard will appear rather than a list of recipes.
  2. To load the values from a recipe file into the input objects on the display, do any of the following:
    • Type the name of the recipe and then press
      Enter
      or
      +
      .
    • Double-click the recipe object to open the
      Recipe
dialog box, select a recipe from the list, and click
      Restore
      .
      TIP:
      When you use
      Ctrl
      +
      R
to set input focus, you do not have to use the
      Restore
      button in the
      Recipe
      dialog box.
      Ctrl
      +
      R
sets input focus and prepares to restore values from a file.
  3. When the values from the recipe are in the fields in the graphic display, press
    PgDn
to download them to the network device.
