Send recipe values to a network device at runtime
By using a recipe, the operator downloads a number of values rather than individual values, from a disk file to the string and numeric input objects and then sends these values to the network devices.
To send recipe values to a network device at runtime:
- On the display, click the recipe object to set input focus to the recipe object. You can also pressCtrl+Ranywhere on the display.TIP:When you have a recipe object on a display with the on-screen keyboard turned on, if you set the focus on the recipe object and then click it, the keyboard will appear rather than a list of recipes.
- To load the values from a recipe file into the input objects on the display, do any of the following:
- Type the name of the recipe and then pressEnteror+.
- Double-click the recipe object to open theRecipedialog box, select a recipe from the list, and clickRestore.TIP:When you useCtrl+Rto set input focus, you do not have to use theRestorebutton in theRecipedialog box.Ctrl+Rsets input focus and prepares to restore values from a file.
- When the values from the recipe are in the fields in the graphic display, pressPgDnto download them to the network device.
