Select a default language for an RSView ME 4.00 application that supports multiple languages

When you open an RSView ME 4.00 application that supports multiple languages in
FactoryTalk View Studio
, you are prompted to select a default language for the application in the
Default Language Prompt
dialog box.
TIP:
  • If you open an RSView ME 4.00 application that supports only one language, that language becomes the default language and this dialog box is not shown.
  • If you open an RSView ME application of a version earlier than 4.00, the language you select to open the application in becomes the default language and this dialog box is not shown.
To select a default language for an RSView ME 4.00 application that supports multiple languages
  1. From the list in the
    Default Language Prompt
    dialog box, select the language that is to be the default language for the application.
    TIP:
    The language shown in the
    Default Language Prompt
    dialog box is the language that you selected to open the application in. The list shows all the languages supported by the application.
  2. Click
    OK
    .
You do not need to create new message files for each language when you open the RSView ME 4.00 application in
FactoryTalk View Studio
. By selecting a default language, you can use your existing message files containing all the messages in multiple languages.
