Transfer a file from a MobileView, PanelView Plus 7, PanelView Plus 6, PanelView Plus, PanelView Plus Compact, or PanelView Plus CE terminal

Use the
Upload
tab of the
Transfer Utility
dialog box to transfer runtime application files (.mer) from a
MobileView
,
PanelView Plus 7
,
PanelView Plus 6
,
PanelView Plus
,
PanelView Plus Compact
, or
PanelView Plus CE
 terminal to a development computer.
Before you transfer an application file, you must configure an
FactoryTalk Linx
 driver for the transfer on the terminal and the computer.
To transfer a file from a
MobileView
,
PanelView Plus 7
,
PanelView Plus 6
,
PanelView Plus
,
PanelView Plus Compact
, or
PanelView Plus CE
 terminal
  1. On the
    Upload
    tab of the
    Transfer Utility
    dialog box, from the
    Select source terminal
    list, select the source terminal in the
    FactoryTalk Linx
     communications tree.
  2. From the
    Source storage type
     list, select the kind of storage the file is stored in on the terminal.
  3. In the
    Source file
    box, specify the file to be transferred. Click the
    Browse
    button to browse for the file.
  4. (Optional) If you want to use a different name for the uploaded file, select
    Upload as
     and type the new name.
  5. In the
    Destination folder
     box, specify the location on the destination computer to upload the file to. Click the
    Browse
    button to browse for the destination.
    TIP:
    The destination must be on the local computer. ME Transfer Utility does not support uploading to a network location.
  6. Click
    Upload
    .
The selected file starts to be uploaded to the destination folder.
