Select a graphic display import or export operation
When you right-click
Displays
in the Graphics
folder of the Explorer
window and select Import and Export, the Graphics Import Export Wizard opens to the Operation Type
dialog box. Choose whether to export or import graphic display files and then click Next
.
TIP:
When you export graphic displays, an XML file with the same name as the display and with the file extension .xml is created for each display exported. In addition, a batch import file is created that is given the name
BatchImport_<applicationname>.xml
, where <applicationname>
is the name of the application where the display(s) resides.
This file is overwritten each time an export from the application is performed.Options
Select the operation to perform:
- Export graphic information from displaysClick this option to export information about some or all the graphic displays in the application in the form of XML text files. You can then modify the XML files in Notepad and then import the modified file into the application.When you select this option, the next dialog box is Displays to Export.
- Import graphic information into displaysClick this option to import one or more XML text files into your application. Each imported file will create a new graphic display or overwrite an existing display of the same name.When you select this option, the next dialog box is Backup.
