Add default extended properties

Add default extended properties for device asset types. These properties will apply to device assets newly added to the asset tree, not to the existing ones.
You can add up to 20 extended properties. The property names cannot be duplicated, empty, or exceed 256 characters. The property value cannot exceed 256 characters.
To add default extended properties
  1. Select
    Tools > Options
    .
  2. Under
    Category
on the left side of the dialog box, select
    Extended Properties
    .
  3. If this is the first time of configuration, click the empty cell of the
    Property Name
column, and then enter the extended property name.
If one or multiple extended properties exist, click
    Add
to generate an empty row, click the empty cell of the
    Property Name
column, and then enter the extended property name.
    TIP:
As you enter a property name on the bottom row, an empty row is generated beneath it, making it easy for you to configure another extended property. Double-clicking the empty cell of the bottom row also generates an empty row beneath it.
Only one empty row can be added each time. If an empty row already exists or is just generated, clicking
    Add
opens a message window, indicating that the property name cannot be empty.
  4. (Optional) Click the empty cell of the
    Property Value
column, and then enter the extended property value.
  5. Click
    OK
    .
