Filter searches

When you view searches, you are viewing all search definitions that all FactoryTalk AssetCentre users in your system have created. The list of search definitions can become quite long, therefore, it is important to be able to filter search definitions to see only those you want to see.
Prerequisites
  • To filter a search, you must have the
    View a Search
    permission.
To filter searches
  1. Select
    View > Searches
    , or click the
    Searches
    button.
  2. To show the filter row so that you can filter search definitions, right-click any search row and select
    Show Filter Row
    . The filter row is shown by default.
  3. Below the column heading, click alphafilter and select the desired operator.
    TIP:
    The alphafilter icon changes depending on the operator selected. You cannot filter on Last Time or Next Time.
  4. Type the criterion in the cell or position the pointer in the cell and click the drop-down arrow to select one of the following options:
    • (Blanks)
      . Shows only search definitions for which this column is blank. The search definitions are filtered immediately.
    • (NonBlanks)
      . Filter the search definitions so that ALL searches with an entry in this column are shown. The search definitions are filtered immediately.
    • Unique Data Record name
      . Filter the search definitions so that only search definitions with the selected entry in the column are shown. The search definitions are filtered immediately.
  5. To clear the filter entry from a specific column, under the column heading, click clearfilter. The previously filtered search definitions reappear.
  6. To clear the filter entries from all columns in the search definitions, under the left most column of the filter row, click filterallcolumns. The previously filtered search definitions reappear.
